Randy Orton & WWE tag champions Daniel Bryan & Kane beat The Shield via DQ in a six-man tag match. Orton was the most popular wrestler of the night. Bryan showed true face colors by encouraging the crowd to cheer, and in the middle of the match throwing his shirt to the crowd. He also played the face in peril during most of the match as the crowd chanted for Orton to come in. After clearing house, Roman Reigns grabbed a chair and jabbed him with it, causing the DQ. After that, all three faces used their finishers on each Shield member, then Orton, Kane, and Bryan hugged it out. Overall, a decent brawl.

Randy Orton vs. Antonio Cesaro ended in a No Contest
There could be no way to determine who would leave San Antonio victorious as momentum continued to shift, with both Superstars displaying their competitive spirit and refusal to back down. With Cesaro reeling on the ring apron, however, The Viper seized the opportunity to execute his patented DDT much to the delight of the WWE Universe. As Orton once again fed off the energy in the AT&T Center — no doubt preparing an RKO — The Shield appeared and surrounded the ring.
The Miz left the announce table to help Orton try and fend off the deviant trio, but the numbers were too great and they were overwhelmed. The United States Champion — absent during the attack — returned to the ring and sent a clear message to his nemesis, taking down The Awesome One with the Neutralizer.

Ryback, Sheamus and Randy Orton rescued Mick Foley from The Shield
Well, that’s one way to celebrate a Hall of Fame induction, we suppose. The first announced member of the WWE Hall of Fame’s 2013 class, Mick Foley arrived in Houston with the intention of addressing the WWE Universe who supported him throughout a storied, legendary career. But before The Hardcore Legend could even get a word in, The Shield emerged from the crowd with the apparent intent of swarming the three-time WWE Champion in the ring. Happily, the cavalry arrived in the form of Ryback, Randy Orton and Sheamus. The mighty trio drove The Shield back from their ambush and forced the men in black into retreat, ensuring that Foley’s first Raw as a Hall of Fame Superstar did not end in chaos.
Ryback’s night did not end there, though, as he promised that The Shield would pay for costing him the WWE Championship down the line, demanding “FEED ME SHIELD!” as the mayhem finally died down.

Team Hell No defeated the Shield by disqualification. Bryan was out first to a good reaction with the Yes/No routine. Kane was out next to a bigger reaction, which surprised me. The Shield came through the crowd to good heat. Ambrose and Rollins worked the match, while Reigns played the enforcer. This was a good back and forth match. Lots of “Let’s go, Goatface!” chants. The finish came as Kane chokeslammed Ambrose and Reigns attacked Kane for the DQ. The Shield started a beat down on Bryan and Kane, but were foiled by Ryback who sent them packing.

Randy Orton def. Antonio Cesaro via Disqualification
Prior to his contest against The Viper, United States Champion Antonio Cesaro declared his intentions of entering — and winning — the Royal Rumble Match on Jan. 27. Then in a match set up by Booker T at the top of the show, WWE’s Apex Predator took on The Swiss Superman for the first time in a one-on-one battle.
Orton matched Cesaro’s punishing physicality blow for blow, creating a hard-fought showdown from start to finish. When The Viper appeared ready to strike with an RKO, though, The Shield suddenly descended into the ring to disrupt the action. The referee called the bout and awarded a disqualification victory to WWE’s Apex Predator, but the rogue trio continued their chaotic assault, planting the nine-time World Champion with a ring-shaking Three-Man Powerbomb.

WWE Champion CM Punk def. Ryback in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match
It was a long time coming, but WWE Champion CM Punk finally faced feeding time in the Tampa Bay Times Forum, battling Ryback one-on-one in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for Punk’s WWE Title that was originally slated to go down at WWE TLC in December. Punk’s unexpected trip under the knife delayed the contest for a full month, but with The Straight Edge Superstar cleared by WWE medical officials, the champion’s brief reprieve from his ravenous challenger was finally at an end.
And make no mistake, Ryback was nothing if not very, very hungry when he finally stepped into the ring against Punk. Ryback literally came out swinging against the champion, tenderizing Punk with body shots and vicious blows from the steel steps, but Punk took advantage of the unique stipulation to fortify his counterattacks. Punk battered Ryback with chair strikes to soften him up for his signature kicks, but Ryback had a similar strategy. He matched Punk shot-for-shot with his own chair and, at one point, delivered a bone-crunching suplex to Punk that drove the champion, back-first, onto a prone ladder.
Punk rallied from the brutal assault to set up a ladder in the center of the ring, but Ryback seemed to irrevocably take control of the bout when he slammed Punk atop the ladder and then dropped him through a table, leaving the champion incapacitated and the title within reach. But right when the beast scaled the ladder, the arena lights cut out. When the lights returned, they revealed The Shield, who stormed the ring. The trio unleashed a beating on Ryback, executing the triple powerbomb and allowing Punk to scale the ladder unscathed. Against all odds, the WWE Champion survives, extending his historic reign by yet another day. Next stop: the Royal Rumble.
